starts good and runs smooth but will not get over 4200 rpms. new carbs new ignition boxes good compresion good blue spark from the plugs comes out of the hole fine but will not rev over 4200 is also using a lot of gas any ideas
this motor on this boat same prop used to push the boat 58 mph at 5600 rpms. yes carbs are all right.was wandering if it could be the stator or maybe clogged exaust.
