Hello Everyone, I have already read through a wealth of information. This place is awesome. The boat is a 305 Mercruiser, it has extensive floor rot and the interior was all makeshift. I have already removed the majority of the interior except for under the bow area, I have also been able to remove a little bit of the floor only to find soaked foam. I bought a OSB blade for my circular saw and was planning on setting to depth between 1/4" and 1/2" and that is basically my first question. What is the depth at which I should set my blade so as to be absolutely sure that I am not going to damage the hull or any good stringers as I run my saw over the floor? (already have respirator and all other proper PPE)

Thanks!

i think 1/2 inch will be fine, thats what i set on the skill saw for my deck, and if you happen to cut a little off the stinger you can always come back and patch em up with glass. better yet, set the blade at 1/2 and cut an exploratory square 1ft x1ft then you can adjust your blade to the size of deck on the boat. good luck on your fix and MAKE SURE your hull is worth restoring.

Thanks for the tip. The Hull is in excellent shape, and the motor is strong but it has not been run in 18 months. The boat was previously owned by a friend. Thanks again for the tip, will keep updating and hopefully will upload some pictures in the near future.
