Hey everyone I can sure use some help here. I just bought a 1987 Chris Craft with a Mercrusier I/O in it . First question is how do you choke it I looked all over and can't figure it out. The next question is I would like to service this engine before using it, where can I find info on doing that. The last question is, the trim on this Alpha drive is not working you can here it click but thats it. The guy said that the hydraulics need replacing but I do not think so. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

need to know what engine. A 4 cyl. of that vintage will have an electric choke. Which trim is not working, up, down, trailer? Need more information to be more helpful.

First question is how do you choke it I looked all over and can't figure it out.

-Engage neutral safety switch.
-Move throttle lever forward to 3/4
-Return throttle to idle speed location
-Do that 3 times
-Move throttle to 1/2
-Turn key to start

Seized trim pump motor?
Broken wiring?
Worn pump motor brushes?
Blown fuse?
Faulty solenoid?
Bad wiring connections?
