I have Twin 1999 Mercury Optimax 225XL DFI 2stroke . One of them I am having trouble starting. I tested the fuel pump because it is not coming on when key is in the on position. There is 12 volts coming to the fuel pump. In the past the motor would run great on dry dock, but when you put it in the water it would only push 2500rpms then it would just choke out. Was the fuel pump failing and it finally went or do I have another problem?
