1985 150 XR2 Black Max waterpump

Motor wasn't peeing well getting alarm sometimes while turning over before start up. Replaced with pump kit. First time out no issues, second time out got a quick alarm burst coming down off plane. Third time out, I got quick alarm burst on every big wake I hit. This thing is driving me crazy, any ideas? Thanks

The temp switch in the hole under #1 sparkplug is bad or the tan/blue from the sender has some missing or worn insulation and it's shorting to ground. The vibration or impacts are setting it off. I had one that would tick at me and drove me nuts.

Or motor mounted too high and losing water pressure when you hit a wave.
