The last couple of times I have taken my boat out it started taking on water. It always took on some water but has appeared to have gotten worse. As I result I replaced all 3 boots and the leak appeared to have slowed down but it was obviously still taking on water. I decided to lower the boat in the water inch by inch while tied to the trailer to find out where the water was coming in. To my suprise I ended up find out the source of the leak. I found out that my 1994 19FT VIP Vision has 2 shells of fiberglass that mend together. A top shell and a bottom shell. It leaked where the two connected together.

My questions are simple. Has anyone seen this before and is there anything that cosmetically looks better than silicone to resolve my issue?

Thanks
