Was the boat left to sit with old gas in the carburator and fuel tank?? If so you likely need to rebuild the carburator, change fuel filters, and pump out any old gas left in the fuel tank...<br /><br />Probably a good idea to change the spark plugs, inspect and replace the points & condinser along with a new cap & rotor, and finally, set the base timing to spec. Basicly a full tue up...<br /><br />A service manual would also help you track down the problem and provide all the information you may ever need about your engine... It's money well spent!
