New to this stuff but here we go. I have a 1970 starcraft V160 that I am redoing. Stringers, floor & transum were toast. Have cut everything out ground everything down almost all the way. Question I have with the start of getting it back together, How many layers of glass should I lay back into the hull before I put the stringer & cross braces in place? Will be using all epoxy and biaxial glass for the job. (1708 or 2408)? I cannot get a good answer from anybody. I don't want to over do it but I don't need problems later either. Was thinking on using 1708 for the hole project.
Thanks Brian..
Will post pics as soon as i figure it out

Unless the hull is damaged why are you putting down more glass??? If need be, I would think 6 or 9 oz would be sufficient. Are you using poly or epoxy resin?? You don't need to use 1708 biax on your stringers. Just use it on your Transom. You can use 6oz cloth on the stingers and PL adhesive to stick em to the hull. You can use 1708 biax on your deck if you want but again not necessary. Post your pic's it will help us to help you.
