quicksilver side control lever adjustment

I have a Quicksilver 2000 side control which has a long throw to get the rpm from ideal to running at 3K rpm. Can someone walk me through how to shorten that stroke, or suggest a website with this adjustment?

Otherwise everything seems to work OK.
