alpha one cant split lower unit.

87 3.0 mercruiser with alpha one outdrive and i cant split the lower unit. i got all the bolts even the allen under the trim tab , its in drive but wont split . any sugestions. i tryd the screw driver and chisle.

Total of 6 nuts and 1 bolt, correct. If yes, then it's just stuck on the dowel pins.
I've even used a long bolt that's the same thread as the allen head bolt under the trim tab and screwed it into the case and hit it with a hammer to give a little gap to put the prybar (aka screwdrive) in to gently pry up towards the front.
