mercury outboard question

new to this site and new to having a bass boat. had a question..i have an 88 bayliner bass boat the motor is shot but im wondering what all do i have to take off for a new motor to be put on?

Usually those Bayliners have Mercury Force Motors. I do not think the wiring or controls are compatable with Merc. If it does have a Merc on it now, post back the two motors HP and year, and we can see if the wiring and controls will work.
