Dumb question Im sure. But I have never rigged 2 engines.

I'll back up and elaborate, sorry Im feeling elated and long winded. After many years of wanting a Mako I finally found a 1979 235 for a song. http://spacecoast.craigslist.org/boa/1844960855.html Rock solid original floors. Everything clean etc. OK enough gloating over the Mako.

I have an 86 Johnnyrude 90 HP V4. Obviously this is not enough engine for the Mako. But I have seen pairs of these on V4's work great on boats this size. A bigger newer motor is not in the budget this year but I can pick up another V4 cheap around here.

I know I need a binicle control, no problem there I can find them on Ebay all day. But how does one link the steering ? is it a simple linkage rod?

Thanks Chuck

Re: OMC V4 Duel Steering question

No simple answer as it depends on your set-up. I have a pair of v-4s on the back of my 23'er and the steering is hydraulic and is connected to each engione independantly
