Maybe I missed it in my searches, but can anyone please help point me to the right direction for the Yamaha oil change how to?

I just bought my boat (2007 Hurricane 202 Fundeck) and it has a 150 HP Yamaha 4 stroke with 43 hours. I have changed my oil in my SeaDoo 4 stroke jetski so I know I can do it, but every engine especially outboard is different. I took it in to have have everything done for the initial service before taking it out, but from here out I want to be able to do it myself. Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Where is the how to oil change?

dont need one.
its self explanatory.
you either suck it out the dip stick tube as designed, prefered method.
or there is a drain plug located in the aft center of the midsection.
if you strip it find a good tech or its expensive.
for the oil filter its the same as any other oil filter.
if its been run recently use rags as the filter will leak some oil.

Ok, sounds simple enough. I have the oil pump with long attachments and can use that.
How many quarts of oil does the 150 hold?

Re: Where is the how to oil change?

its on a label on the flywheel cover.
what your shooting for is keeping the level about 1/2 up the hash harks on the stick, do not try for the full mark.
leave room for thermal expansion.
