I just purchased a newer boat. It is a 14' fiberglass bass boat with console manufactured by Grand-Mere boats. The hull weighs 260 lbs. It has a Yamaha outboard. The model is 20 MLHS, I looked up a cross reference online and I believe it is a 1994. It is long shaft manual start and Manual trim. I need to replace the prop since it is in bad shape. The number on it is 08481 and it is 9 7/8 10 1/2 t.
I guess I have a few questions.
1. Is this really a 1994? I can only find parts online for 1996-1997. It was made in Japan and imported to Canada. Serial # 6L3 L 303125
2. Is this the correct prop????
3. When I am alone in the boat, I can get on Plane OK and top out at 22 MPH nice and flat. My wife got in with my dogs, so lets say another 300 lbs. can't get onto plane to save my life and I top out at 8 mph. My 14' aluminium with a 15 hp evinrude, with the same parties is still hitting about 12 mph with the front of the boat still lifting a bit. Any suggestions on Prop or more likely Trimming?
