new to the site. Hope I can get some helpful advise. I'm struggling to figure out why my 86 mercruiser 3.0 140 will only run good at 1500rpm or less.Anything high it starts to cut out and almost stall. I've replaced the fuel filters and rebuilt the carb. Parts for this thing are expensive and i'm kind of leery on spending the money for the fuel pump, since i'm not convinced that will fix it. I have also replaced the points and condensor. Hoping this might be common for this model and there may be a fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
