can anyone tell me what the "XP" stands for or what the difference is between this and a regular 150hp motor is?

eXtra Problems..

No just kidding.
Extra Performance, They are usually about 10% higher Hp than their rating. So your 150xp is closer to a 160-170 hp motor.
