My dad has aquired this motor and want me to try to get it running. The carb is missing the slow speed needle valve OMC# 311340 which is no longer avalible. I looked up a '68 model and it uses a different needle valve OMC#313240 which is avalible. Is there anyway to know if this will work? Thanks

I'd call tim's outboard 218-682-2331 with the question. They'll likely have one cheap, and quick.

Thanks. I checked compression last night and I have 90psi on both cylinders. Does this sound about right? My 15hp has 120psi?

90 PSI sounds good for a small motor, what is also important is that the cylinders have about the same reading.

90 is fine on a 5hp
