3 Amp Battery Wiring Questions

I have a little 120W amp on the way and was wondering if there will be any problems with my future set-up. I have (2) 150watt speakers mounted in the center console. I was going to install the amp in the console but it would be maybe 10"-12" from the spare (deep cycle) battery. I am just going to use my MP3 player with the 1/8" to RCA cable set-up. I would probably run the stero for 2/4 hours (not very loud) in between battery charges. I know my car stereo will play for many hours w/o a recharge and it wont kill the battery.

Here are the questions:

Can I mount the AMP this close to the battery w/o any interference?

Can I wire (with fuse) the AMP directly to the battery terminals?

Can I run the battery for a few hours w/o any recharging w/o damaging the battery?

Thanks

Re: 3 Amp Battery Wiring Questions

1. Probably
2. Yes this is the best way in a boat
3. Maybe this depends on power consumption. I would make sure you have a good deep cycle that runs only the stereo.
