Re: 1986 Liberator Twin 350 Guage wiring

People tend to do some creative things when they wire (re-wire) a boat but the console wiring on most boats is very generic. Every gauge needs +12 volts, ground, a switched +12 volt source for the internal light, and in the case of the fuel, tach, trim, temp, oil pressure gauges they also require a send connection. Typically, the +12 volt, ground, and light circuits connect to the first gauge in the string and they are then jumpered to the next and then the next etc. The "send" signals are separate circuits to the various senders in the boat or engine. The Generic Boat Wiring diagram in the stickies illustrates that configuration. It doesn't matter which gauge is first in line. but typically the gauge closest to the ignition switch is first in line.
