Have a 94 27' Proline. Both of these twin deals are priced @ 6k, but the 150's come with props, controls, etc. The 99 225's hours are unknown and the 2000 150's only have 240 hours on them. Worried about not enough power with the 150's but like the idea of less gas & I really don't have anywhere to go fast. I did the basic math & the 150's should push her about 40-45 top speed and the 225 should push her about 50-60. What would u do?

On the 99 225 engines..."Run Forest Run" as these was the bad years that got the nickname "Optipop's". The 150s is the better deal overall

Do you think the 150's will push the 27' just fine or should I hunt for 200's

I'd would look for a pair of 200's. If you can find a newer pair of Opti's with low hours, that is the way to go. Fuel economy from these guys is phenominal. Just my two cents.;)
