I've never seen one on my PWC's...can't imagine where it would be put!

But...I can be wrong!

Happy boating!

I have a merc 40 outboard with an outboard jets jet pump. Don't see anyplace for an anode either.

I have seen anodes for PWC or jet ski's. I think they are important for PWC if you play a lot in the saltwater.

I have a 1990 yamaha 50 jet, and the only anode I can find is on the bottom of the mounting bracket. Don't know of any other location

Checked with outboard jets, and they have an anode kit that mounts on the mounting bracket. Case solved.

Re: Sacrificial Anode for Jet Pumps?

Merc Sportjets (and bigger jet pumps) all come with an assortment of anodes from the factory. There are 4 on my sportjet that I can think of offhand. (reverse bucket, 2 on steering nozzle, 1 big one on the main pump)

As far as PWC's, seadoo has an optional kit for any pwc/jet boat meant for saltwater use.
