I have a 93 Chaparral with a 5.0 mercruiser 2barrel. The engine starts right up and runs great all day. When I put in nuetral and it stalls I can not start it again for the next 3 hrs. or sometimes the next day. Thank goodness for boatus that was the best $140.00 investment ever. I had the carb. rebiult after the first tow. After I got it back the same thing happened, but this time 10 minutes into the tow I turned the key and it started right up. I was glad and also pissed since we sat through heavy winds and rain trying to start it while we waited for boatus to come tow us.
Is there anyone that can help out with any advice? I could sure use it.
I was told to put a holly 2 barrel on it because of the ethenol separation and I should never have the problem again.
