I'm having difficulty keeping the engine idling at low rpm's without stalling. I've taken to boat out 3 times so far and added synthetic Evinrude oil and fuel stablizer and conditioner, and it's working somewhat, but not enough.
When it stalls it sometimes has difficulty starting up again and I would need to crank it over in neutral with high rpm's and press the key for the choke, even if I just finished running it.
My marine tech told me to move the throttle cable for a higher rpm in idle, but not sure on how to do this. I see the cables, which are held in place with a steel plate. The cables have a dial type nut that seems to be in place for fine adjustments. Do I loosen the plate and turn the dial? And which cable do I turn, top or bottom. They seem to each be connected to a 'lever' of sorts.

Let me know what you think.
