for two seasons my engine has had a tendancy to stall when accelerating from an idle. It idles nicely and it runs wide open nicely. it even starts up well... but to accelerate from an idle I often need to squeeze the gas bulb just prior to accelerating.

the engine is professionaly winterized and I think the carb is fine... but for this acceleration dilemma. This year it accelerated well the first time out and then ever since it has been acting as described above and as it did last season.

the gas is clean, no water;

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi, check the carbs for deposits, they should be cleaned periodically. Since you mentioned squeezing the bulb, I would also check for air leaks in the fuel lines. It's hard to diagnose without any list of what you have checked so far.
