30 hp 1985 Evinrude....throttle cable had to be pushed all the way up to engage, so I replaced both throttle and shifter cables. Had the engine set in neutral and at idle when I connected the new cables. I tried to start the motor from the control box at the helm and it would not start. I was able to finally get it started from the ignition switch on the engine itself but the throttle still responds the same way it did with old cables what went wrong???
