I just purchased a 1988 Glassmaster with a 4.3 volvo 4 cylinder motor. The problem I am having is that as soon as I turn the key to the on position, it contuiosly cranks and does not stop till the key is turned off.. Can anyone help me or may know what the problem may be..

Thannk you

Re: startor

most likely a shorted ign switch between "on" and "start" could also be several other things but i would begin at the ign switch the "start" position of the switch is of course spring loaded

Re: startor

Look on the back of the key switch. The most common wiring has three connections: B(attery), I(gnition), and S(olenoid).

Make sure the proper wires are going to each of the terminals. In most wiring schemes the same color wire at the switch can be found at the engine.
