Hello,
My Neighbor has a 70 hp Yamaha model BETO, need to determine year it has no year code. Anyone have another method to determine year ??


Tag on mounting bracket:
Yamaha Model 70BETO
Code 6H3 L 450475

Well I found the year 6H3 = 1983

Now anybody know where to find a service manual ??

Anyone have pickup and/or max timing data ??

How about link and sync procedure ??

BETO does not sound like a US model, so I do not think there is a lot of info over here on a non-US motor. But you can keep trying

Thank you for the response.
I was beginning to feel rejected. (not really)
I had about an hour and a half chat today with japland and received all the information I could ever need or want.

Did what was required to bring everything into spec. Launched the 16' Aquacraft for the second time Bada Boom 42 mph . Life is good.
