1988 stratos xl 1700 with 3.0 omc cobra i/o

hello everyone, i have a question about my boat maybe somebody will have some advice. i recently took her out and started down the lake and realized an exaughst tube had dry rotted. i pulled the boat back up on the trailer with the wench. i raised the trim to pull it up on the trailer and once it was up i went to drop the trim and the outdrive would not move and is stuck there. i can hear the trim motor running when i press the button but nothing happens. what could this be?

How's the fluid level in the trim pump?

thanks for replying. i cant really get a reading on the fluid level because its stuck up. i have heard there is some sort of manual release or something? have you heard of this?

ooops sorry misunderstood your question. i am very new to boats and i know where the trim pump is but i dont see a way to check it?

There's a plug on the front of it.
