Hello,

I have an 1998 honda BF90, when i start up the engine using the starter, it produces a cloud of white smoke just for 4 or 5 seconds.

After that no white smoke goes out during the day.

Anyone know if its normal or what is happening to make this white smoke?.

Thanks.

Re: White smoke (BF90)

Hi,

As soon as you stop the engine tilt up your engine, if it is left trim down position the oil will move through the rings gradually to the head and cause initial smoking.

Warm regards

I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't take much oil to produce a nice cloud of smoke
