engine knock 3.0l

87 3.0l mercruiser has a knock in the bottom of engine. it does not get louder when reved but it the knock goes with rpm. any thoughts on this and is it ok to run? possible oil pump knock?

Does it in gear or out?

Sounds a little like a rod knock to me.
