Hi, I have a 1987 85hp force on a 17ft bayliner caprri. On the dashboard there is a switch marked ACCY, when I push this to on the on postion I can hear a buzzing sound near the motor, but I have no idea what this is for - any ideas help would be really apprecited.

My guess would be a bilge pump?

Is it under the motor cover?Did someone add a second bildge pump?Did they add a blower to the bildge? How about a livewell pump?Maybe an electric fuel pump?If it's that REMOVE IT!!! That's like riding around with a BOMB on board.
Maybe a tape player? It could be a hundred things.
Go turn it on and start removing seats and start looking. Then let me know what you found(got me wondering).J

check near your fuel tank when you turn it on could be a fuel sending unit, automatic fuel line primer is my guess
