1991 Mercury 9.9Hp 2stroke. I was out on the river yesterday cruising all day and on my way back in the motor cut out. I was at 3/4-full throttle and the motor died for a second then picked up to like half and then quit finally and won't fire back up. I already checked both cylinders for compression and have roughly 95psi in both, both plugs are getting spark and I also ripped the carburetor apart to make sure nothing was clogged. I'm thinking its a fuel problem because when I pull it a few times and check the plugs they are still dry. Just wondering if its common for the fuel pumps to fail on these or if anyone else would have any ideas. All the fuel lines are fine. Any help would be appreciated or ideas.
