Start or Trolling battery?

Just got this boat and was wondering which battery all the bilage, lights, and other accessaries should be hooked to. Starting battery or trolling deepcycle battery.... sorry if this is a dumb question...

It's a good idea to keep your engine on a starting battery, and all your accessories on a deep cycle battery. I prefer dual cycle batteries myself for this purpose, they can run down and not be damaged, and at the same time, you're keeping an extra battery in the boat that can be used as a backup to start the engine in an emergency.
