Had a week of absolutely perfect weather, highs in the mid 80's clear skies, low humidity, the sort of days a boater dreams of. Today, the 4th. bad storms all over the area with more forcasted. BLETCH!
yep, i'll second that. what a crummy day. ruined my boating adventure.. it's been raining here since 4:30AM. i 'WAS' out having a good time boating. but heavy rains finally got the best of me. even with my hardtop boat... my boat is now in the driveway, a real soggy mess. and it's supposed to rain through monday too. maybe get her dried out on tuesday..
oh well, i tried to go have fun and at least i got out 'some'..
Still nice here at Lake of The Ozarks. I did bail on a trip to Iowa this weekend, though. The wife made it as far as Oklahoma City trying to drive to Iowa from Texas. She just returned to Texas this morning after hunkering down in a hotel for two days.
The nasty part of this system is that it "training" south to north with very little eastward progress. That means it's dumping on the same area for days at a time. This system stretches from Mexico to Canada.
It's supposed to get here to the lake sometime tonight and stay through Friday.
