I have a 1989 Alpha Drive laying out while I search for a replacement engine on this project boat. The u-joints are kinda crudded with rust but you can easily turn the shaft and the prop. Switches in and out of forward and reverse easily too. I dowlanded the manual (BIG THANKS) but was wondering some suggestions since I dont even know if this thing is good or not.
I have time to kill.....what tests, repairs, maintenance would really be helpful? How can I clean up the rust?
