i have a 1992 johnson 25hp outboard motor. water will run at idle, but will not push water out the pisser hose and misfires when i try to excelerate. the top cylinder fouls and when spark plug is removed it is wet and oily. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated, planning a trip to north carolina in a few weeks and would like to have it up and running without breaking the bank.

no just something i have been called for as long as i can remember. new to this computer thing was'nt sure if title meant a name. that was the first thing that came to mind. have any answer's to my question?

Sounds like two problems to me. She needs a new impeller, and we need more info on the other.

Misfiring and plug fouling are usually carburetor related. What have you done to try to isolate the trouble?

Is your fuel fresh and water free?
