So, I have a 90HP force outboard, I think it is a 1996. The engine idles fine and runs great at half throttle. As soon as you get past half throttle it breaks up bad and loses RPMS. I have been trying for a couple of weeks to fix it. So far I have checked compression which is good, we're getting spark on all 3 cylinders, changed the fuel kit, and cleaned the and jetted the carbs.

I am at a loss, does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? My next step is replacing fuel lines because its the only thing I can think of next.

Please help this is driving me insane.

Take it out, when it starts breaking up, try squeezing the fuel primer bulb.
If the rpms pick up, you may have to rebuild your fuel pump, or reset the float level in the carbs.

My 96 force 75 was doing the same thing. When I pressed the key choke as it was happening, the rpms picked right back up. Fuel pump sounds like the problem for you and me.

Let me know if you figure anything else out.
