Trim wont go up but goes down.....

Had troubles with the boat running from idle to full throttle, got better after it warmed up but not quite there. Anyways, put the trim down now it will not go back up. If I push the switch down the hydraulic pump keeps running and nothing stops it after motor is all the way down, will not go back up. It worked fine all the times before until now, what could this be, any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem. I used the troubleshooting section from the manual I downloaded in the 'adults only' section. I'm sure your manual is there too. It tells you exactly what to do to isolate the problem.

Anyway, by checking voltage I eliminated everything but my trim limit and trim sender switches located on each side of the outdrive. I found that my wires from the pump, leading to the trim switches, were frayed.

There are a lot of posts on the matter and they helped me out.
