Transom cap/rail rivets

I have a 14ft starcraft seafarer. On my transom there is an aluminum cap that is approx. 1.5 inches wide and runs the width of transom. Along this cap there are rivets the go through this cap. These seem like a very long thin rivet.
How do I tighten them up? Take them out?
Replace them?
What type is this rivet if it is a rivet at all?

Somebody help me, I'm clueless...

Should just be a nail with a twisted shaft. Pull em out or hammer em in.

The same kind of nail ( SPIRIL NAILS) these are also used on the frame to the dash panels. They work great on plywood as they screw themselfs in to the wood (no pun intended ) .

Awesome. Seems easy enough. I think I'll just tap them in a bit.
