I have a Mercruiser 3.0 LX I4 with a 2 bbl carb that ran great the last time out a couple weeks ago. I forgot to fuel up before going to the lake yesterday and put about 10 gallons of fuel from the dock where we launched. Boat started and ran great for about a mile or so then it started to sputter and would not accelerate without constantly adjusting the throttle up and down. I could only get it to run at no more than half throttle and later that day I shut it off for about 20 minutes then when I restarted I took off from shore and lt died and would not restart. It acted like it was flooded. Help! any ideas? Bad fuel? Carb rebuild? Choke? Thanks for any help guys!
