Inherited a 70 Johnson 33 from my grandfather. Getting everything brought up to speed after sitting in his backyard for over 2 years. Right now I stand at no spark. It hadn't been used in some time and getting the flywheel off was a PITA!!! Anyways here I'm at:

new coils
new condensers
new points (and adjusted)
new plugs

and still no spark on either cylinder. Not using a spark tool, will pick one up, but I would think I'd get something, even weak, just turning the flywheel. Before all this I was getting the same thing when starting off the battery or by hand will all the old components.

It almost seems like I have a short somewhere. Any ideas to help me troubleshoot this? Since it did the same thing with the old components and the new components (no spark on either chamber) I'm inclined to think it's elsewhere.

Disconnect the kill switch wires, if there are any there. They will be two black wires coming out from under the armature plate
