I am in the process of replacing the exhaust manifolds and risers on my 5.7 ltr
Mercruiser and wondered if any had ever used GLM replacement systems. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Bob

Re: Mercruiser Exhaust

take your pick ,OEM, Osco, Barr, Glm, Sierra, etc. Have had Merc start leaking after 2 years or less. All do need to have the surface checked for flatness and run a fine cut flat file across the mating surface between manifold and riser.

Re: Mercruiser Exhaust

I just installed glm manifolds and risers on my small block chevy. Had to file all surfaces except where manifold mates with head. Don't use the supplied riser bolts as they are not long enuff. I also had to elongate hole in one mounting bracket for the fuel filter as did not line up at all. I also used factory riser gaskets and coated both sides of the gaskets with right stuff making sure to not plug the small holes in the gasket and torqued them down with a click style torque wrench to 33 lbs. Cheaper than oem but a pain in the a** to install. Where in maine are you?
