The 2 holes at the back of the mid leg where the water exits the motor, is that just water and pressure from the impeller or is it mixed with exhaust? Force 1987 125 HP.

They're called idle relief ports. When at idle, the exhaust can't push out through the exhaust snout so it uses these ports. When underway, the exhaust can exit the snout. It's a combination of exhaust and cooling water.

You guys are sure fun to hang out with. I was born and raised in Virginia, kept a boat in Urbanna, but now love California and boating the Pacific. I would never have gotton this Force running if not for your help. Thank you both.
