Just completed the conversion from amp to coil/ballast/condenser. Should I stay with the .010 points gap or use something different? Right now it does not run unless above 1200, then this only for a couple seconds. getting voltage to coil via ballast resistor. I was showing 11.68v coming in and 5.98 coming out with a 2.98 ohms reading across the ballast. Any suggestions? I am currently charging the battery to get back to full juice. I also used a diode in line from starter post (low voltage post) of coil for start up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
