1973 johnson 135 safety switch?????

the safety switch on my 1973 looks like its on its way out the wires are really freyed and what not i wanted to know if anyone knows where i can get a new one thanks guys

I have a couple of them if you are referring to the ones on the engine. The switch is part # 386056. It has standard ears, so the wires just slip on with clips.

There was also a neutral safty switch on the standard 1973 and newer remote controls, so OMC did away with them on the engine on more recent motors.

Some models also had a mercury switch so that if the boat turned over the engine would stop. I don't have any of those.

It does not really matter about pictures; all of the parts are shown on the parts catalog diagrams. The engine switch is shown on the cylinder and crankcase diagram as #95; the remote switch is shown on the remote control diagram as #68. http://shop.evinrude.com/
