Mariner 8 Model Year?

I recently acquired a Mariner 8 - Serial Number 677 S 026145. Can anyone provide the year of manufacture and information on how I can obtain an Owner's Manual for that year/model, and also information to obtain a Repair Manual that covers this motor?

It was made in japan, by yamaha, in 1979. I doubt genuine manuals are available anymore, probably need to look for a clymers or seloc here at iboats in the online store.
