I have a 78 85hp Rude, model 85895c . It appears to have the steering cable hooked to the hinge pin that holds the engine to the bracket . The cable is rusted (frozen) to where it won't move however the motor will turn left and right freely . (1) How is the cable supposed to turn the motor ? (2) Am I missing Parts ? (3) If anyone has pictures or a diagram of this system, please send me a copy . The engine runs fine and I purchased it for $50.00 which was a good deal (I think). Any help will be greatly appreciated.
