I have a 2000 statos with a 150 rude, the fuel gauge is broke. looking on ebay there are lots of gauges. My gauge has no numbers that i can read. How do I know which after market gauge will work? Are all gauges the same? I have found some with similar pin set configurations but how do I know they will be the same? do they all have different ohm readings? please help

Re: correct fuel gauge??

Unless your boat has a "special" fuel sender in the tank any gauge should work so long as the electrical connection matches yours. When you mention "pin set configuration" I assume you mean your current gauge uses a "plug-in" style connection rather than the threaded stud washer and nut connections for each individual wire. Most fuel senders have a resistance element that measures 33-240 ohms (full-empty). If the gauge is compatible with that resistance it will work.
