When I bought my boat/motor a few years back the p.o. had removed the reverse lock and when I use reverse my motor wants to bob out of the water. It is not really a hassel (I don't use reverse all that much) but does anyone know a ballpark figure on the cost to reinstalling the reverse lock back on my motor?

If you have the rod and the hook, it should take just a few minutes to drop the gearcase and install the rod.

I believe the cam, hooks and everything has been removed by the po.

You will likely need to find a donor motor for the parts you need.
