Hey guys,

I have a 96 Johnson 70. She will fire up all the time but the second you put any load on her she bogs out and stalls. It will run a little above idle but not much. Any power at all and she stalls. I'm thinking carbs or the fuel pump. All hoses and filter are clean and plugs look good. I can go for hours a little above idle but anymore and she quits. Also I pump the ball up nice and tight and when she quits the ball is really soft again. Any input would be appreciated.

Typical dirty carbs.Especially if the eng hasnt run for a time.Clean all hosesand filters too.Carbs need to be totally taken aart and soaked for a long period in carb cleaner sold at auto stores, usually a one gallon container which you can use to dip the parts into
